Installed copies update themselves. Here's what changed.

0.2.0

Voice, a free AI on your Mac, and Gazey uses your Mac for you

  • Talk to it: hold ⌥ in the box, or click the mic, and Gazey starts acting while you're still speaking. Speech becomes text on your Mac with Apple's built-in recognition; audio is never recorded or sent.
  • A free AI that runs on your Mac: simple actions run on Qwen3 4B through Ollama, free, private and offline, using none of your Claude or ChatGPT plan. Anything bigger is handed to Claude Code or Codex automatically.
  • Gazey uses your Mac for you: it opens apps, files and websites, clicks menus, fills fields, presses buttons, types, and scripts apps like Mail, Calendar, Notes and Office.
  • Everyday commands run instantly with no AI at all: "type hello", "new tab", "save", "undo", "volume up", "quit Spotify".
  • Control Center → Activity lists every request: who handled it and why, what it did step by step, how long it took, tokens and estimated cost. It stays on your Mac.
  • New setup, no Terminal: one click installs the local AI, or Claude Code and Codex with their official installers. Every step can be skipped.
  • Gazey has its own identity: ask "who are you?" and it answers as Gazey. Its personality is yours to edit in Control Center → Agents → Personality.
  • Smaller fixes: Codex gets Gazey's Mac tools too, small models retry on the default model when they run out of room, and website addresses are no longer glued to words.
0.1.1

Feedback from the app, automatic updates

  • Report a Bug and Suggest a Feature now open a form right in Gazey. It shows exactly what's sent with your message, and you can leave the log lines out.
  • Gazey now checks for new versions on its own and installs them with one click (Install and Relaunch). If you installed 0.1.0, download this version once; it can't find updates by itself.
  • Your Jev key is stored in the macOS Keychain.
0.1.0

First release

  • ⌥Space summons a small box with animated eyes over any app, and takes a screenshot of the display you're on.
  • Works with Claude Code and Codex, using your existing login and MCP servers. ⇧Tab switches between them.
  • Actions get a one-line "on it" and run in the background. A pill drops in when one finishes, fails or needs your OK.
  • Anything that changes something can ask first: Always ask, Ask if unsure, or Just do it, right in the box.
  • "Insert into…" pastes the reply where you were. Tab fills in a suggestion for the app you're in.
  • Control Center: tasks, permissions (drag to grant), agents, connections and optional smart model picking.
  • Guided setup, custom shortcuts, and signed self-updates.
  • Moods, idle gestures and a few easter eggs.
